Production coordination for i8 Studio for Season 9 of the Australian travel series Luxury Escapes (Foxtel), covering Osaka Castle and Tokyo locations.

Timing staff for the Nintendo Museum; Transport Captain for the Kyoto/Tokyo press junket; production coordination for the world premiere at the historic Kyoto Minamiza theater.

World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai – National Day Coordinator / Interviewer

National Day Coordinator for the World Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, personally coordinating National Day and Special Day ceremonies for 27 countries and international organizations and interfacing with VIP protocol, producers, and Japanese technical teams for the official programs of visiting heads of state and royal families, including the King of Sweden, King of the Netherlands, Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Presidents of Finland and the Czech Republic, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Program highlights include Sweden's National Day featuring a Nobel Society talk with Dr. Shinya Yamanaka, and Italy's National Day featuring the La Scala Ballet. Also served as interviewer for the Kansai Expo 2025 Official Homepage's international promotional series, featuring leading Kansai business figures and entrepreneurs including Eli Lilly Japan President Simone Thomsen and Plug and Play CEO Philip Vincent. Also held the National Day Coordinator position at Aichi Expo 2005 for many of the same countries, including for the Royal Families of Sweden, Denmark, and Switzerland, as well as the Presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania, as part of a special troubleshooting team coordinating ceremonies for 122 countries and over 60 Heads of State.

The Amazing Race Season 37 (CBS)

Built and managed a 30+ person bilingual production crew for CBS's The Amazing Race Season 37. Challenges included a taiko drumming Roadblock at Dotonbori, an Osaka sumo dojo, and location work at Shiramine and Shimogamo Shrines in Kyoto.
2020
Tokyo 2020 Olympic Boxing

Led the Japanese technical team for Olympic Boxing graphics at the Kokugikan National Sumo Arena, managing athlete entry screens, presentations, medal ceremonies, and live action for 276 bouts.
2010-2018
Nagoya City Parade, 2010-2018

Coordinated international special guests for Nagoya's major annual parade, attended by Aichi's Governor, Nagoya's Mayor, and Toyota's President. Featured guests included UCLA & 7 Fleet Marching Bands and "The Dream Engine" aerial show.
2017
Nintendo Switch Debut, 2017

Handled foreign casting for the main interactive attraction at Tokyo Big Site, marking the global launch of Nintendo's new gaming console.
2009
Cirque du Soleil "Corteo" Osaka 2009

Managed setup troubleshooting, logistics, and local procurement for "Corteo" in Osaka, also advising management, cast, and crew.

Aichi World Expo 2005

Oversaw events for royals and PMs from Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Ukraine, Lithuania, and the US National Day. Part of a team ensuring smooth coordination for 122 countries' ceremonies, requiring robust communication, data management, and composure under pressure.
2002
"The Last Samurai" 2002

Served as the main liaison for Warner Bros. and Shochiku Movie Company, managing locations in Himeji and Kyoto. Addressed security and temple concerns, overseeing all location management aspects for the film's Japan shoot.
1992-2010
Temposan World Performance Festival, 1992-2010

Managed overseas talent booking and coordination for Japan's pioneering street performance venue by Osaka Aquarium. Handled contracts, visas, and acted as a judge for the final competition.
1997
NHK "Hello Nippon" 1997

NHK film crew followed me planning and coordinating a Russian static trapeze group performing 20+ meters above an Osaka complex, with a rollercoaster weaving through the building.
1988-89
The American Train In Japan 1988-89

Coordinated American performers and ceremonies for an expo train promoting US products across Japan, inspired by a Nakasone-Reagan meeting on trade. Managed year-long, nationwide tours starting July 4th with an opening by Prime Minister Nakasone.

English Rakugo

In the 500-year history of Rakugo (Traditional Japanese Storytelling), Katsura Shijaku was the first to perform in English, and travelling the world performing at the Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Australia, Canada, and the UK. Considered a living legend until he passed away, I was honored to be one of his instructors just prior to his English storytelling debut. Performed English Rakugo myself at the famed WAHA Theater in Osaka in 2003.
