    Expo 2025

    Coordinated and conducted interviews for the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 press release, featuring key figures like Simone Thompson of Lilly Japan, and Tyas Sosen, a Kyoto Tea Master, to promote the event globally.

  • 2020

    Tokyo 2020 Olympic Boxing

    Led the Japanese technical team for Olympic Boxing graphics at the Kokugikan National Sumo Arena, managing athlete entry screens, presentations, medal ceremonies, and live action for 276 bouts.

    Nagoya City Parade, 2010-2018

    Coordinated international special guests for Nagoya's major annual parade, attended by Aichi's Governor, Nagoya's Mayor, and Toyota's President. Featured guests included UCLA & 7 Fleet Marching Bands and "The Dream Engine" aerial show.

  • 2017

    Nintendo Switch Debut, 2017

    Handled foreign casting for the main interactive attraction at Tokyo Big Site, marking the global launch of Nintendo's new gaming console.

  • 2009

    Cirque du Soleil “Corteo” Osaka 2009

    Managed setup troubleshooting, logistics, and local procurement for “Corteo” in Osaka, also advising management, cast, and crew.

  • 2005

    Aichi World Expo 2005

    Oversaw events for royals and PMs from Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Ukraine, Lithuania, and the US National Day. Part of a team ensuring smooth coordination for 122 countries' ceremonies, requiring robust communication, data management, and composure under pressure.

  • 2002

    “The Last Samurai” 2002

    Served as the main liaison for Warner Bros. and Shochiku Movie Company, managing locations in Himeji and Kyoto. Addressed security and temple concerns, overseeing all location management aspects for the film's Japan shoot.

    Temposan World Performance Festival, 1992-2010

    Managed overseas talent booking and coordination for Japan's pioneering street performance venue by Osaka Aquarium. Handled contracts, visas, and acted as a judge for the final competition.

    NHK “Hello Nippon” 1997

    Managed overseas talent booking and coordination for Japan's pioneering street performance venue by Osaka Aquarium. Handled contracts, visas, and acted as a judge for the final competition.

  • 1988-89

    The American Train In Japan 1988-89

    Coordinated American performers and ceremonies for an expo train promoting US products across Japan, inspired by a Nakasone-Reagan meeting on trade. Managed year-long, nationwide tours starting July 4th with an opening by Prime Minister Nakasone.

    English Rakugo

    In the 500-year history of Rakugo (Traditional Japanese Storytelling), Katsura Shijaku was the first to perform in English, and travelling the world performing at the Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Australia, Canada, and the UK. Considered a living legend until he passed away, I was honored to be one of his instructors just prior to his English storytelling debut. Performed English Rakugo myself at the famed WAHA Theater in Osaka in 2003.
